52 Cygni(bright star) and NGC-6960 The Veil Nebula – “The Witches Broom”
A Supernova Remnant in Cygnus, A massive star exploded about 5,000 years ago leaving this beautiful filamentary remnant amongst a star studded field of the Cygnus Milky Way.
The Veil Nebula is a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus, its part of a much larger loop, 3 degrees in diameter of this SNR nebula, and it is
located about 2400 light years from Earth.
I will be posting close-ups of other sections of the Loop in the next few weeks.
